Bridge is a client-work tool for web designers, developers, freelancers and agencies who build on Squarespace. A single widget on your client’s site gives them somewhere to talk to you — chat, files, voice messages — and somewhere to point at what they mean: they pin a task to a spot on the page while it is open in the builder, and Bridge captures the screenshot. From your dashboard you work those tasks through a board, run a timer against one, price it, and let your client pay for it through Stripe.

After signing up, you’ll receive a unique widget code that you can copy and paste into your client’s Squarespace site. Once added, Bridge connects instantly, allowing you to start chatting right away. There’s no need for extra software or complicated setup steps.

A task can start in several places: your client pins one to a spot on the page while editing it, they raise a request from their portal, you make one from the dashboard, or you turn a chat message into one — including a message that arrived as an email reply. Each task moves through open, in progress, waiting on client, resolved or cancelled, and you can work the whole set on a board. A task pinned on the page carries the screenshot Bridge captured at the moment it was placed, so there is no arguing about which element was meant.

Your clients never pay for Bridge itself — no subscription, and no account to create. They message you through the widget or their own portal page, and they sign in with a link sent to their email. The only money a client ever pays is for a task you priced yourself, hourly or fixed. That payment runs through Stripe straight onto your own connected account, and Bridge takes 2% of it on Link and Connect, 1% on Atlas.

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and no card is needed to start it. After that, Bridge is a simple subscription: you choose a plan based on how many client websites you want to connect, you pay monthly or yearly (yearly costs about 25% less), and you can cancel, upgrade or switch between monthly and yearly at any time from your account dashboard. Payments your clients make for tasks are separate — those run through Stripe onto your own account.

If your subscription expires or is canceled, your chat access will pause, but your account data stays stored. Once you renew or reactivate your subscription, you’ll be able to pick up right where you left off without losing your setup.

If you want your own copy of a conversation, export it while your account is active: Bridge can package a chat up as a download with the messages, the shared files and the voice notes all in it.

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Any changes you make will adjust your billing automatically, and your existing chats and connected sites will remain unaffected.
